Summary:
The effect of yttrium sulfate pulse sealing on the thermal cracking behavior and electrochemical behavior of industrial pure aluminum anodic oxide film was studied. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) was used to observe the surface and cross-sectional morphology of anodic oxide film after boiling water sealing and yttrium salt pulse sealing. The electrochemical corrosion behavior of the two closed methods was studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and polarization curve. The results show that yttrium element can be introduced into the oxide film by yttrium sulfate pulse sealing. Compared with the thick cracks with a width of 1um on the surface of the boiling water-sealed oxide film, the surface layer of the yttrium sulfate-sealed oxide film is denser, the pore wall of the porous layer is thickened, the pores are reduced, and the microhardness of the oxide film is obviously improved, so that only some small microcracks appear in the oxide film after heating. From the AC impedance results, it can be seen that the heart value of the yttrium sulfate closed oxide film is 1.43 times that of the boiling water closed oxide film. The polarization curve results show that after yttrium salt closed, the self-corrosion potential of the oxide film is about 280mV higher than that of the boiling water closed sample, and the self-corrosion current density is reduced to the 0.41 of the boiling water closed sample.
